I am Dr. John McCarthy, a dedicated professional with a career spanning two decades in airport cybersecurity. With a PhD in Cybersecurity and eBusiness Development, I have focused on addressing the unique security challenges faced by medium and small airports globally through tailored program development and strategic oversight.
Currently, I serve as the Team Lead for the Airport Council International (ACI) World APEX Cyber Security Review Program, where I work closely with international airports to assess, advise, and strengthen their cybersecurity resilience. Since 2003, I have also served as the CEO of Oxford Systems, where I lead the development of innovative cybersecurity solutions that align with both operational demands and regulatory frameworks in the aviation industry.
As a Chartered Cyber Security Professional (ChCSP) and Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), I bring a combination of technical expertise and industry leadership to my work. My approach is driven by a commitment to delivering solutions that are both robust and practical, ensuring that airports can operate securely in an ever-evolving threat landscape.
